#104- Beth yw pridd iach?

Gwrandewch ar y recordiad yma o ddigwyddiad fferm Pentrefelin, Llandyrnog i glywed trafodaeth ar sut i hybu pridd iach.

Bydd Huw Foulkes yn rhannu ei daith wrth gymryd yr awenau ar y fferm deuluol sy’n cynnwys creu system ffermio adfywiol. Gall ei system, sy’n cynnwys gwerthu cynnyrch yn uniongyrchol o’r fferm fod o fudd i’r amgylchedd, cynhyrchu bwyd maethlon yn lleol, a mynd i’r afael a materion cymdeithasol sy’n wynebu ffermwyr Cymru, yn ogystal ag adeiladu gwytnwch ar y fferm rhag sychder, llifogydd ac effeithiau eraill newid hinsawdd ar y fferm.

Bydd yr agronomegydd profiadol Nick Woodyatt sydd wedi bod yn helpu i ymgorffori systemau adfywiol proffidiol gyda ffermwyr ers blynyddoedd lawer yn ymuno â ni rannu eu farn. Mae wedi gweithio’n agos gyda Tim Parton, Rheolwr Fferm Fferm Parc Brewood, lle mae wedi bod yn frwd dros amaethyddiaeth adfywiol ers 15 mlynedd, gan feithrin yr ystâd 300 hectar yn Swydd Stafford gyda gweledigaeth i wella’r pridd am genedlaethau i ddod.

#104- What is healthy soil?

Listen back at this recording from our recent farm event at Pentrefelin, we discuss how to better understand and promote a healthy soil.

Huw Foulkes will be sharing his journey taking over the family farm that involves a regenerative approach. His system, through direct sales, could benefit the environment, produce nutritious, local food and address social issues facing Welsh farmers, as well as build on-farm resilience against drought, flooding and other impacts of climate change.

We will be joined by experienced agronomist Nick Woodyatt who has worked with regenerative farmers for many years to incorporate a profitable regenerative system. He has worked closely with Tim Parton, Farm Manager at Brewood Park Farm, where he's passionately championed regenerative agriculture for 15 years, nurturing the 300-hectare estate in Staffordshire with a vision to enhance the soil for generations to come.
